Responsible Gaming
Version: 1.0 | Last Updated: 1 September 2025
At ZizoBet, we believe that gambling should always be an entertaining and enjoyable experience. We are firmly committed to responsible gambling and to providing our players with the knowledge, tools, and support they need to stay in control. This Responsible Gaming Policy forms part of our overall regulatory framework and should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
1. Our Commitment
1.1. A Safe Gaming Environment
ZizoBet is dedicated to maintaining a safe, fair, and transparent gaming environment. We are committed to:
- Preventing underage gambling through rigorous age verification;
- Detecting and supporting players who may be exhibiting signs of problem gambling;
- Providing accessible, effective, and free-to-use player protection tools;
- Collaborating with leading responsible gambling organisations;
- Training our staff to identify and respond appropriately to player vulnerability;
- Reviewing and improving our responsible gambling measures on an ongoing basis.
1.2. Guiding Principles
We operate under the principle that gambling must remain a form of entertainment — never a financial strategy, an escape from problems, or a source of income. If gambling ceases to be fun, it is time to take action. We are here to help.
2. Recognising Problem Gambling
2.1. Warning Signs
Problem gambling can affect anyone, regardless of age, background, or experience. It can develop gradually and may be difficult to recognise in yourself. Below is a checklist of common warning signs. If you answer "yes" to three or more of these questions, we strongly encourage you to seek support:
- Do you find yourself gambling for longer than you originally intended?
- Do you frequently think about gambling when you are not playing, or plan your next session obsessively?
- Do you increase your bet sizes to maintain the same level of excitement or to "win back" previous losses?
- Have you tried to cut down or stop gambling but found it difficult or impossible to do so?
- Do you feel restless, irritable, or anxious when you are not gambling?
- Do you use gambling as a way to cope with stress, anxiety, loneliness, or other emotional difficulties?
- Have you lied to friends, family members, or colleagues about how much time or money you spend on gambling?
- Have you borrowed money, sold possessions, or used money intended for essential expenses (such as bills or rent) in order to gamble?
- Has gambling caused significant tension, conflict, or financial hardship in your relationships or daily life?
- Do you feel a strong compulsion to return to gambling as soon as possible after a losing session?
3. Player Protection Tools
3.1. Deposit Limits
You can set daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limits at any time from your Account Settings. A request to lower your deposit limit will take effect immediately. A request to raise your limit is subject to a mandatory seven (7) day cooling-off period before the increase is applied.
3.2. Loss Limits
Loss limits restrict the total amount you can lose over a defined period (daily, weekly, or monthly). Once your loss limit is reached, you will be unable to place further wagers until the limit period resets. As with deposit limits, reductions take effect immediately and increases require a seven-day cooling-off period.
3.3. Session Time Limits & Reality Checks
You may set a maximum session duration, after which you will be automatically logged out. Additionally, you can enable reality check notifications — on-screen pop-up reminders that appear at set intervals (e.g., every 30 or 60 minutes) to inform you how long you have been playing and how much you have wagered during the session.
3.4. Cooling-Off Period
If you feel you need a short break from gambling but do not wish to self-exclude permanently, you may request a cooling-off period of between 24 hours and 6 weeks. During a cooling-off period, your account will be restricted and you will be unable to log in, deposit, or place bets. Cooling-off periods cannot be reversed once activated.
3.5. Self-Exclusion
Self-exclusion allows you to close your account and prevent yourself from accessing the Platform for a defined minimum period. The minimum self-exclusion period at ZizoBet is six (6) months. During the self-exclusion period:
- Your account will be deactivated and access suspended;
- You will be removed from all marketing communications immediately;
- We will take reasonable steps to prevent you from re-registering a new account;
- Any verified cash balance will be returned to you upon request via your registered payment method.
To request self-exclusion, contact our support team at [email protected] or use the self-exclusion feature in your Account Settings.
3.6. GamStop — National Self-Exclusion
GamStop is the UK's national online gambling self-exclusion scheme. Registering with GamStop allows you to self-exclude from all UK-licensed online gambling operators simultaneously. We strongly encourage players who feel they need a break to consider registering at www.gamstop.co.uk.
4. Tips for Responsible Gambling
4.1. Healthy Gambling Habits
Follow these guidelines to ensure your gambling remains a safe and enjoyable pastime:
- Set a budget — decide how much you can afford to lose before you start playing, and stick to it;
- Set a time limit — decide in advance how long you will play and stop when the time is up;
- Never chase losses — if you have reached your budget limit, stop playing. Chasing losses rarely leads to recovery and often results in greater losses;
- Treat gambling as entertainment — view any losses as the cost of entertainment, not as a financial problem to be solved;
- Avoid gambling when emotional — do not gamble when you are stressed, upset, anxious, tired, or under the influence of alcohol or other substances;
- Take regular breaks — step away from the screen regularly and do not gamble for extended, continuous periods;
- Keep gambling in balance — ensure that gambling does not take priority over family, work, social activities, or financial responsibilities;
- Know the games — understand that all casino games are games of chance and that the house always has a statistical edge over time.
5. Protection of Minors
5.1. Age Verification
ZizoBet operates a strict minimum age requirement of 18 years. We conduct age verification checks on all players as part of the registration and KYC process. We do not permit any person under the age of 18 to register, deposit funds, or play any games on the Platform.
5.2. Parental Controls
If you share a device with children or young people, we strongly recommend using parental control software to prevent access to gambling websites. The following resources may help:
- GamCare – provides guidance on protecting minors from gambling;
- Net Nanny – parental control software;
- Family Lives – advice and support for families.
Please also ensure that you keep your login credentials secure and never share your account details with minors.
5.3. Reporting Concerns
If you believe that a minor has accessed the Platform or created an account, please notify us immediately at [email protected]. We will investigate and take prompt action.
